Teargarden Vs. Maya: 1-0

Facciamo che ve la prendete bella comoda. Che dopo questo primo EP (disponibile dal 25 maggio attraverso un certo numero di rivenditori online), non iniziate a pensare che le cose siano destinate a velocizzarsi per il progettone Teargarden by Kaleidyscope. Altro che “una canzone ogni due settimane, se va bene”, come aveva provato ad anticipare a settembre il Pelatone. Cioé, anzi si, il problema sta in quel “se va bene”. Evidentemente non è che pensa che andrà benone, se è vero che ha prospettato che ci vorranno ancora 4 o 5 anni per arrivare a riempire tutti gli “slot” delle 44 canzoni. Insomma, perlomeno vuol dire che non ha grande paura di quel fatto del 2012. Mr. Corgan lo ha detto in occasione di un’intervista a Ultimate-Guitar.com:

Rosen: Do you have any sense of how the last batch of songs might sound?
Corgan: If you mean by the last, the last of the 44 I hope to finish, I would hope that by then I would have created a whole new exciting Smashing Pumpkins sound that is compatible with the old sound but is wholly different. I am definitely trying.
Rosen: Can you see musically that far down the line?
Corgan: I can already see where there will be an acoustic type period, and a very experimental period. Right now the stuff is just more rich but easily understood. I’d like to surprise myself by working with different approaches if I can find the time.
Rosen: Without being disrespectful, how do you gauge the reaction to your music when the songs are offered for free?
Corgan: You can’t. The numbers aren’t real. The real test will be four or five years from now when the work is fully assembled and released.
